Lizzie’s Christmas fact file

Christmas Carol, Charles Dickens wrote his much-lived a Christmas Carol in 1834. He was one of the first people to introduce Christmas crackers, London baker of Wedding cakes Tom Smith came across Bon-bons — sugared almonds wrapped in twisted paper, on a trip to Paris in 1840. The company he founded claims still to be the largest cracker manufacturer in the world for one shilling. (5p) each.
